Why here? Why now?
This is not something a group of people planned out. It is a God-initiated work to build His Kingdom, equip His saints, and see the lost come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Only God gets the glory.
The testimony of how the Lord started Calvary Chapel Star must be told in a way where only God gets the glory. The calling to plant was clear, prayer and fasting pointed to Star, and God revealed His timing after the COVID season.
After more than three years of praying, seeking and waiting on the Lord, the spark that stirred Pastor David and his family to step out in faith was unexpectedly planted.
David and Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills met, prayed and talked about what the Lord was doing. Over six months God confirmed it through Scripture, God-ordained connections and miraculous provision (Ephesians 2:10).
With the love and backing of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, monthly prayer meetings met in Eagle, Meridian, Nampa and Star. A group of eight grew to more than 100 people praying over the church about to be born.
Construction began on the new building in Star: a campus to glorify Christ, unapologetically teach the Bible, and be a beacon of hope for all.
God is doing so much more than we could have imagined. We will forever proclaim, “The LORD is faithful!”
See the building ↗︎We gather to worship together every Sunday at 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 AM.
